My heart aches with this post – as with so many. *BUT* I think what you are doing with this work is important “witness” work. As a former forensic social worker in public defense work, I really applaud you for honoring the folks in Kensington as human beings with stories…thank you.
Dude! Excellente! Nah really ur shhit is dope. Familiar w/area lil. It makes me grateful to not be in that web. Nyway I’m just a Fishtowner who saw ur blog n the paper & I <3 photography so I checked u out :).keep on keepin on
It honestly breaks my heart to see people treated by other human beings so horrible. I’m glad that someone is telling the stories of theses men and women. To be honest, my sister was a heroine addict, she over dosed valentines day 2003. Every since then I’ve done everything to help anyone I could who has been or is in the same situation she was in. I volunteered at St. Fransis Inn in Kensington for years hoping I was able to help someone else’s family member, like I know people helped my own sister. Never keep fighting to live, because believe me, whether or not you feel like your wanted or deserve to be alive, you deserve it! Please I beg you keep fighting!
